Hi! I’m Sarah Jo, and I am not just a designer.

I am a communicator, a connector, and a creative problem-solver who understands that good design does more than fill space. It fills purpose.

What sets me apart is that I do not approach design as decoration. I approach it as a translation by turning ideas, stories, and information into visuals people feel and remember. Whether I am building a campaign to raise awareness about osteoporosis using virtual reality and illustration, branding a New York sports team for international competition, or illustrating scientific data for educational outreach, I create work that moves between worlds—between art and science, strategy and storytelling, knowledge and emotion.

Curiosity drives everything I create. I constantly learn, question, and explore how design can serve people meaningfully. That is why I am equally comfortable crafting social media strategies for global fashion brands as I am drawing biological bass for a Texas collegiate fishing team. Every project is a new challenge, a new subject to understand, and a new story to tell through design.

Leadership and collaboration are at the core of my practice. As President of City Tech’s Ink Club, I have created spaces for artists to connect, share, and grow through gallery exhibitions, creative workshops, community engagement, and events like MoCCA Arts Fest. I have worked alongside creative directors, healthcare strategists, educators, and clients to transform complex challenges into clear, compelling visuals that make an impact.

I am not interested in being a passive participant in culture. I am here to shape it.
